Volunteers from PAWS of Southwest met at the SW Duck Pond on Saturday, July 13, to walk the neighborhood and clean-up for the inaugural poop pick-up.  Volunteers left reminder flags in areas where messes were found to remind pet owners that they should always pick up after their dog(s).

95 chihuahuas racing for the championship title brought in $1,900 for PAWS of Southwest. Thank you friends from all around DMV and beyond! Plus our 50/50 cash raffle winner was so generous and donated all of her winnings back to PAWS of SW netting us another $650+ WOOF, WOOF, WOOF.

This neighborhood event benefited PAWS of Southwest and our efforts to build and operate an off-leash dog park in Southwest. The event was held at Kastles Stadium at 7th Street Landing, Southwest Waterfront, Washington, DC from 11 am - 2 pm.
